Sundial resembles human spirit. Bright spirit - bright day. It doesn't count times of storms and gales.

Sundial is always a work of art. It can decorate any garden or home and is able to impart new meaning to them.

The "spring" of a sundial is set by the God himself. It makes the Sun and the Moon, all planets and stars together with the rest of the Universe revolve round the gnomon. The mechanism is immortal.

Sundial is a symbol of what our civilization rests upon, a symbol of knowledge.

I believe that people, who have thought up a sundial, did not oppose themselves to the nature, nor did they identify themselves with it. Rather, they belonged to it and were happy for this only reason.

Technical progress has changed much. We have expanded our knowledge to borders of the Universe and have completely conquered the nature.

But how many values have we thus lost?

Whether also we became happier?

Sundial have witnessed the forthcoming of clepsydra, mechanical, and even atomic clock and has outlasted all of them because of its unique properties. Sundial not only connects the two worlds, terrestrial and spatial. It also reminds us of the most important secret of the Universe, that someone stronger and wiser, than we are, winds it all up, that time is irreversible, and that each lived moment is invaluable.

If you are looking for a device which would decorate your city or your garden and a sundial for you is more than just an ornament you are in the right place. Welcome to the world of gnomonic, science about sundials. I am not sure that here, on my site, I can let you into the main secret of the Universe. But I am confident that you can come nearer to it.
