About me
Many years have passed since I had graduated Moscow State University and started my scientific work at the Institute of Evolutional Morphology and Animal Ecology, Russian Academy of Sciences.
My teachers - Professor Evgeny Kriksunov and Academician Dmitry Pavlov did not waste their talents on trifles. They demanded to investigate the entity of this world in all its integrity and unity and expected that I had much to offer.
To the best of the ability I solved the problems set by them, published and patented results of my investigation, defended the Thesis. However, the knowledge cannot be limited to rational methods. The subjective picture of the world is not complete without application of methods of the art. Trying to learn the world by means of scientific method, I at the same time carried out experiments in the field of poetry and painting. That is probably why I have left further than it would have been pleasant to my teachers. I have discovered The Gnomonica.
Gnomonica is an astonishing science. Exhaustive perfection of its mathematics can be revealed only in the union with art.
Art conception
On the basis of synthesis of methods of science and art I create artifacts, material illustrations of spiritual life, objects for applying historic, cultural, scientific and philosophical associations. I aspire to connect symbolically various epoch and cultures, to express cognoscibility of the world, continuity and universality of scientific knowledge and arts.
Acknowledgment
In 2001, after I have made my first armillary sphere, I found out that I have neither colleagues nor adherents. Moreover, I have found that there is only one Russian book on sundials published in the end of 19 centuries. Here I am happy to tell that I am very grateful to John Davis (the editor of BSS Bulletin) and Reinhold Kriegler who supported me at the beginning of my way
