Two copies.
1st copy is made of brass. The disk is covered with silver (24Kt), the gnomon is gilded (24Kt).
2nd copy is made of brass, and gilded (24 Kt).
Diameter 210 mm.
The device measures apparent time on Moscow Planetarium meridian, and an apparent time in terms of summer (day sawing) and winter time. The gnomon has a nodus allowing registering the beginning of zodiac months. In a southern part of the dial a cartouche with words "Moscow Planetarium" and five stars of constellation Cassiopeia are etched. For a long time this constellation was used as the Planetarium emblem.
