Owl is a wisdom symbol. An image of this mysterious night bird decorates the bottom part of the dial. Latin motto "Cogito et facio" urges to think first and then to operate. Sundial is windowed by a hammered frame. The gnomon is made of steel and finished with paint. The dial is composed of six lime stone blocks. The sundial face is directed almost strictly southward.
